http://www.teaparty.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/1486.jpgIn at least 5,658 cases in a single year alone, the FBI authorized its informants to commit crimes varying from selling drugs to plotting robberies, according to a copy of an FBI report obtained by USA Today.

After much redacting by the authorities, the watered-down FBI's 2011 report obtained under the Freedom of Information Act has revealed that agents had been authorizing 15 crimes a day on average, in order to get the necessary information from their informants.

The document does not indicate the severity of the crimes authorized by the agency, nor does it include material about violations that were committed without the government's permission. It just sites a number of 5,658 Tier I and II infractions committed by criminals to help the bureau battle crime.

According to the Department of Justice Tier I is the most severe and includes “any activity that would constitute a misdemeanour or felony under federal, state, or local law if engaged in by a person acting without authorization and that involves the commission or the significant risk of the commission of certain offenses, including acts of violence; corrupt conduct by senior federal, state, or local public officials; or the manufacture, importing, exporting, possession, or trafficking in controlled substances of certain quantities.”

The Tier II includes the same range of crimes but committed by informants acting without authorization from a federal prosecutor but only from their senior field manager in FBI.

In the past, the newspaper revealed, the violations ranged from drug dealing to bribery. (Source (http://rt.com/usa/fbi-crimes-informants-scheme-035/))

Very interesting articles for getting one's head around what's been going on down in the U.S.A.

The FBI has built a massive network of spies to prevent another domestic attack. But are they busting terrorist plots—or leading them? (Source (http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2011/08/fbi-terrorist-informants))

I thought a lot about this site being monitored but I didn’t care because any reporter, news caster or media or anyone from the fbi or nsa (national spying association) or the alphabet departments can see and how it effects “everyone” looking into the law. You want to harm people then you deserve what you get.

LYING, I consider to be most egregious....so engaged in as a matter of course/lifestyle = "it's all downhill from there"

And that gets to a key point: the number of 'persons' these days who will 'swear to God' a bald-faced lie. Is it at all sane to consider them to be your peers?

Keyser Söze posted (http://savingtosuitorsclub.net/showthread.php?1111-The-Conspiracy-Theory-Is-True-Agents-Infiltrate-Websites-Intending-To-quot-Manipulate-D&p=13154&viewfull=1#post13154) a No matter your views on Anonymous, “hacktivists” or garden-variety criminals, it is not difficult to see how dangerous it is to have secret government crime lord whose ruthlessness and influence have acquired a legendary, even mythical, status among police and criminals alike agencies being able to target any individuals they want – who have never been charged with, let alone convicted of, any crimes – with these sorts of online, deception-based tactics of reputation destruction and disruption.

“Ed Snowden’s latest leaked documents open the lid on what is perhaps the most vindictive and disgusting aspect of the government-corporate joint surveillance state seen yet…”

Picture: High school grade pettiness + billions of dollars of high tech resources and you have a picture of how so-called "government" agencies might abuse this. I have observe the case of one man who was in the closet as to his sodomy/buggery fetish and was so angry over a Man not being into his fetish he used his connections in the police and FBI to stalk him, to spy on him, to harass him. In another case, police resources and FBI resources were used by someone to stalk someone with a view to 'relatives' spying on him to find out what kind of money he might be making, to find opportunity to break into his house to go through papers and determine bank accounts, projects of value, etc. So knowing how to put those kinds of antics to bed is important--it can be done. All Federal and State officers are duty-bound to conserve the peace and to preserve the prosperity of the people/state. I get the impression of operators of a machine whose original owners or successors thereof went to sleep.

But are we really free when we live in fear of these things? What kind of freedom is that? Sounds like bondage.

And certainly the Holy Spirit gives us wisdom and discernment:

Matthew 7:15-20 -- “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Good point. And the point being rather than to live in fear, to instead nip it in the bud using writ of mandamus, etc.
