According to Thomas Winthrop Coit's Lectures On the Early History of Christianity In England and Beale Poste's Britannic Researches biblical Christianity (not Simonianism or Roman Catholicism) was brought to England by at least 37 AD. Roman Catholicism came much later some say around 600AD. "Claudia" (mentioned in 2 Timothy said to be a British/English princess.

Nonetheless, among those credited are:

Joseph of Arimethea (ala Cardinal Baronius curator of Vatican library per a Vatican manuscript )
Aristobulus

We certainly know that Christ, the true Son, afforded His light, the knowledge of His precepts to our Island in the last year of Tiberius Caesar. Source: De Excidio et Conquestu Britanniae, Gildas the Wise circa 550AD

Tiberius' last year was ~37AD.

Aristobulus, whom Paul saluted when writing to the Romans, was Bishop of Britain. - - Simon Zelotes preached Christ through all Mauretania and Afric the less. At length he was crucified in Brittania, slain and buried.

The above accorded to St. Dorotheus, Bishop of Tyre (303 AD).

In the Western confines of Britain, there is a certain royal island of large extent, surrounded by water, abounding in all the beauties of nature and necessities of life. In it the first neophytes of catholic {i.e. 'universal'} law, God beforehand acquainting them, found a church constructed by no human art, but by the hands of Christ Himself, for the salvation of His people. Augustine in a letter to Pope Gregory circa 597 AD

Augustine admits that the organic assembly of Christ (since 37AD at least!) to have present prior to his arrival. That means the Ecclesia there does not have its roots in Rome. Biblical "Christianity" did not originate in the Roman religious system. Christianity didn't originate in the Babylon either. Bible-based Christians weren't involved in the Crusades.
