Migrant Crisis: Where Have the Gulf States Been?
Why a region with $2 trillion in annual income can’t seem to spare much for the neighbors

Even recognizing all these concerns, though, it remains puzzling why five countries with a combined national income of $2 trillion have not offered credible assistance to solve the current refugee crisis. After all, they have all more or less been involved—directly or indirectly—in the Syrian civil war by virtue of having either encouraged or armed various groups. Its all a bit fishy. Consider the distance they are traveling to get to Europe and how many countries they are completely passing over to get there. Now if they were Christians (unlikely because most of the Christians may have been slaughtered), it would make perfect sense as to why they the Islamic countries won't take them. If they are Muslims, then why aren't the wealthier Arab countries absorbing them? Do they know something we don't know?

Look how much closer KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), Iran, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Oman are than Germany, France, UK, USA, Brazil, Ireland, etc.

Is this any different than what the US does to Caribbean or Latin American countries?
