There is some very interesting inference and implication regarding the term Mariamne. This morning though, it cropped up in the fragments of the Book of Zadok - CHARLES' Introduction. Look down there at the bottom:

The term applies much better to Mariamne, Mary Magdalene as Jesus' wife (https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B1EaV_bU7VImZTJkMjVjNTYtNDE5OS00YjI4LWJhM jItZmRhZjM0NDcwY2M4&hl=en). But the passage above implies that Mary, Mother of Jesus was a discarded mistress (rape victim?) of Herod.
