I have been watching fires around here for a week now.

Wednesday it turned dangerous with Westerly 65 mph winds.

This morning, the BBC World News broadcast around the world this story (https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B1EaV_bU7VImSzlkcHZkVTBSbmc). Listen to this fire marshal tell you over three-hundred homes were engulfed (in flames).

I edited this thread because what I saw from the hilltop sure looked a lot different than what actually happened according to the News!

Was thinking about you. I hope you and yours are out of harms way. From the presumptions I get from your photos it looks like you are quite safe.

Yes. Thank you.

I made some presumptions from what I could see. There were many homes burning below my line of view, through the night. I lived in Mountain Shadows when most of it was motorcycle trails and therefore did not consider the population density in that neighborhood adjoining Forest Service land.
