• Nullifying a Constitutional Protection

People have been telling me about three or four bills like this one passed in Utah. It feels a little like something Eugene SCHROEDER, author of War and Emergency Powers fell into many years back in Denver.

After quite the struggle SCHROEDER was finally able to get a hearing in the Colorado capital building about this issue. The big day arrived though, standing room only and one senator short of a quorum. They asked Eugene if he wanted to continue. Well, of course he did! But the meeting was for naught - because they had no quorum to act on it. It was just an intelligence gathering meeting.

I am talking about the trust in place called Constitution.

The War and Emergency Statutes from 1933 were repealed in 1974. So if you read the article about Utah passing a bill about a protection they already enjoyed from the federal constitution, understand my frustration that what logic dictates is that Utah needs to legislate its rights anew!

Utah, if the people there want to coin money, already enjoyed that protection in the federal constitution all along.

    Regards,

    David Merrill.

I wouldn't know, far from a persona with the office of corporate citizen in Utah, much less anywhere else.

Onlashuk and I tried to enter a Law Library near the courthouse in a Public University here and they would not let us in because we were not members of the state bar. That is all I needed to hear to confirm that them state laws were not written for me.

I give tours of the federal repository including the Government Documents area. I have heard similar stories about the Public Addresses and Papers of FDR and the Selden Society Case Law collection.
