The Right to Not Believe Lies

This topic has come up in private discussion. I figure that its worth bringing up as a post. Consider the notion of "the FBI" visiting someone (a kind of harassment) to ask them where they learned that one's head goes on one's shoulders rather than up one's ass. The question begs: is there a right to not believe lies? Is not believing a lie a criminal offense in the United States? I am unaware as to the authority of any officer of any state to coerce belief in lies, are you? I had a conversation with an old "friend". I stomped him with: "I have the right to not believe lies." I suspect there might be some crosstalk with refusal for cause.
