USA vs US - Anybody?

It seems like I remember this being brought up on the other forum a while back, but I just checked it out again and it seems to have been updated.

Reading through I was surprised by some of the insights. Does anyone know the author of this website?

Also, I would like to get some other opinions about some of his assertions. I'm compelled to throw them out into the echo chamber and see if there is consensus.
