You have the right under the Fourth Amendment to not have your person or your property searched by police or any government agent unless they have a search warrant authorizing them to do so. You have the right under the Fifth Amendment to remain silent and not incriminate yourself. You have the right under the Sixth Amendment to request an attorney. Depending on which state you live in and whether your encounter with police is consensual as opposed to your being temporarily detained or arrested, you may have the right to refuse to identify yourself.

Yeah but when these thugs operating under color of law start knocking people around, or using their Billy Clubs, Tazers, & Pistols on innocent people it's likely they don't care what you say ! I'm not saying all LEO's are like this loser, but many have a chip on their shoulders or just blindly follow orders to generate unlawful $ at our expense. If they're telling me I have to identify myself under threat of duress, I just give my first name & make sure that there's no joinder with the "Legal Person".
