    The Century of the Self

    The foregoing video discovers the method in which the Public is controlled and manipulated by and thru the Ego. Admittedly it is a long video but I found it to be fascinating.

    What is more intriguing to me is Social Psychology in terms of the Collective Mind and the Womb of Society. I love William Coopers BEHOLD A PALE HORSE - part I

    The term has been around for far shorter.

    I scored one for myself; haven't got very far yet though. I did notice that image of FDR's speech that David likes to show...

    was from an Address before the Governors' Conference at the White House. March 6, 1933. Governors' Conference is METRO, number 3 on the diagram. So FDR was preaching to the choir there, and starts off saying "I have been so occupied since noon Saturday that I have not had a chance to prepare any formal remarks." So given more time to prepare he may not have admitted "if we can persuade people all through the country..." - how optional the scam is.

    And can't help but wonder how METRO has grown since 1963. How many more groups and agencies all working towards a singular goal? And what about private companies... how do they feed into METRO or support it? I may have found an example of that.

    I know a small company, let's say "Smallco," that purchased something, let's call it "System Box," from a large multinational company - GE. Typical for this large purchase Smallco signed a contract with GE that included a one-time purchase cost, annual license cost (to use System Box), and annual Support cost (to maintain System Box). When Smallco received the Support invoice it disputed the State sales tax charged. Smallco interpreted state law to mean personal & professional services (human services) were not taxable (exempt) in their State and said so to GE. Here is the exact reply Smallco received from GE:
    GE [xyz] sells optional maintenance contracts as a bundled item which includes support as well as any enhancements or upgrades. According to the state of XX If these fees are not separately stated, the entire charge for the maintenance contract is subject to tax. I understand the customer’s statement that the support portion would not be considered taxable in the state of XX if the maintenance was broken out and separately stated. However that is not the way our maintenance contract was sold to the customer. The taxation is valid and the customer is responsible to pay.
    So GE chose to write the maintenance contract not to benefit itself (it just passed the tax on), but to the State. GE could have written the contract to save customer thousands in annual sales tax... but chose not to. It wrote the contract to maximize revenue to State [METRO?].

    Thanks for showing us that. Fascinating!

    I feel a little bad about taking so long to read and share the book. I am glad you enjoy hardcopies too. Also, I apologize for choosing to use my camera in this format. It was a failed experiment.

    Chapter 11 strikes a note about the Census.

    I like the word mind-rummaging. Too bad that never caught on.

    "Insurance" $5.5T + "Reinsurance" $5.5T = $11T?

    Or perhaps GE attorney realizes something about the bill that the customer doesn't.

    Re: cities and metropolis... it might be helpful to consider the following:

    (i) cities...aka 'municipal corporations' are per William BLACKSTONE said to be 'souless' and according to some quite imaginary;
    (ii) there is such a thing as a metropolitan rank of bishop (i.e. associated with a "diocesan bishop" or "diocesan archbishop");
    (iii) a homerule city might be or might be like unto a "colony" of a State ..my take is that because of the extent of devolving of sovereignty to a homerule city it could some ways 'peer' (stand shoulder-to-shoulder) with a State and thusly over-ride a State (sub-State) Constitution but not necessarily over-riding the Federal Constitution (arch-State) (nonetheless, a homerule city derives any added level of potency or sovereignty from somewhere);
    (iv) Sargon/Cain (Gen. 4:16-17) is said to have had a fancy for founding cities;
    (v) residents of a city (i.e. 'strangers' or outsiders to the founding) might be regarded to be those who have contracted under its charter and are distinct from the creators or founders of a city and their successors.

    P.S. A delegating sovereign separated by water from an inferior chief of a city seeking to enforce an obligation against such inferior chief of a city would likely have to enforce such obligation in admiralty. Also, a study was done concerning corporations and trusts and it was found that trustees took less risks than directors of corporations (i.e. directors of corporations are more likely to steal or perpetrate fraud). Obvious parallels can be drawn between the word 'land' and the word trust and similarly between the word city and corporation.

    Evidence indicates that trust law is effective in curtailing opportunistic behavior, as trust managers charge significantly lower fees than their observationally equivalent corporate counterparts. (Joseph Warburton)
    Consider "bailouts" "Enron" "crime" "drug trafficking" "MIT child pornography" "theft" in such perspective.

    Chapter 12 was a joy!

    Luther, the Communist was mentioned again but not in context of the Colorado Springs Conference. It is still a little mystifying that reference that the Conference is the parent force of METRO but so little mention of the City of Colorado Springs in the book itself.

    Maybe it was just a mood but I thought having the time stamp on the posts would help make it more enjoyable like we are reading the book together. To complete the experience I have the Appendices too.

    Time will tell.
