    That's a weird picture.

Too bad the so-called government shut-down is all empty promises.
That monkey on our backs will never shut itself down voluntarily, on its own.

What is in your congressmen/woman pocket?

This is why I’m fighting for a delay. I would rather it be defunded once and for all, but at this point in time, a delay is more of a possibility.

We must postpone this overreaching and damaging law that I believe will bankrupt the hard-working every day American.

For those who are being forced onto the exchanges, the question of what’s next is a serious and timely one that frankly isn’t being answered by the Obama administration.

There are hard-working mothers and fathers who are worried that Obamacare will break the bank for their families, their finances and their healthcare.

We have business owners who are lost in bureaucratic uncertainty.

    http://carter.house.gov/press-releas...go-from-here1/

Still, many business owners are confused about what the exchanges offer and whether they have to sign up, according to recent polls, and some still have no idea what the law requires of their company and whether they will face fines or penalties for failing to comply. http://www.washingtonpost.com/busine...35e_story.html

More than 40 percent of small businesses have frozen hiring because of Obamacare, according to a new poll from Gallup. A fifth have actually cut their workforces as a direct result of the healthcare reform law. http://www.forbes.com/sites/sallypip...reality-bites/

Below is a list of offices and agencies to keep the government open, along with the potential number of employees affected. This federal corporation needs that enema.

House Of Turds is too lenient.

I applied two weeks earlier for In Forma Pauperis based on my unwillingness to pay the (then) $120 filing fee in the currency of the Defendant IMFIRS. So the federal Judge (SPARR) knew what was coming down the pike. When I filed the LoR with the petition In Forma Pauperis I was driving back from Denver and got a page from James Harlan, co-author of Are You Lost at C?. I pulled into a truck stop and Jim, a 32nd Degree Mason told me he would pay the $120. I thanked him and said he could if the judge refused to grant the pauperis. Jim said I had to turn around and go back to Denver and the clerk would keep the office open until I got there to accept payment by credit card? The offer was only good that day!

What was the clerk doing calling Jim to make payment? Additionally Jim could have just paid it... - what they needed was my consent for Jim to pay it by me going back to Denver!

    P.S. Treefarmer;

Shutting down all non-essential personnel for 30-days is a corporate turnover during bankruptcy. It is traditional to change the name of the corporation but they will likely open back up as US Government.

    Civil law http://www.thefreedictionary.com/civil+law

Where a civil statute has been violated, the plaintiff can sue directly under the statute without having to prove common law negligence. In other words he does not need to independently prove duty, breach, cause and harm. For example: http://nationalparalegal.edu/public_...toryDuties.asp

Title 18, U.S.C., Section 241 Conspiracy Against Rights.

This statute makes it unlawful for two or more persons to conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person of any state, territory or district in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him/her by the Constitution or the laws of the United States, (or because of his/her having exercised the same).

It further makes it unlawful for two or more persons to go in disguise on the highway or on the premises of another with the intent to prevent or hinder his/her free exercise or enjoyment of any rights so secured.

Punishment varies from a fine or imprisonment of up to ten years, or both; and if death results, or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years, or for life, or may be sentenced to death.

Title 18, U.S.C., Section 242 Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law.

This statute makes it a crime for any person acting under color of law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom to willfully deprive or cause to be deprived from any person those rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the U.S. http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investig...deral-statutes

A federal civil case involves a legal dispute between two or more parties. To begin a civil lawsuit in federal court, the plaintiff files a complaint with the court and "serves" a copy of the complaint on the defendant. The complaint describes the plaintiff's injury, explains how the defendant caused the injury, and asks the court to order relief. A plaintiff may seek money to compensate for the injury, or may ask the court to order the defendant to stop the conduct that is causing the harm. The court may also order other types of relief, such as a declaration of the legal rights of the plaintiff in a particular situation. http://www.uscourts.gov/FederalCourt...ivilCases.aspx

The buzz is that its all about a plan to defund the Affordable Healthcare Act. The AHA looks very economically dangerous. The question is how did it pass in the first place?

Hmm what if the currency sets the forum. Like say an argument involving a specific set or brand of casino chips might be associated with a specific tribunal. Appropriations law is quite interesting.

The trail it seems goes back to the Anti-Deficiency Act of 1884. An interesting question: why did it take until after the Civil War for Congress to have that strong of power of the purse? Other than a few ammendments the most popcorn trail leads us to an Attorney General Opinion Letter.
